In addition to making grants in response to funding applications, occasionally the Trust ‘proactively’ makes grants to further its long-term strategic plans and vision for Kent.
Only a very small number of grants have been made under this programme and these have been to long-established, registered charities with incomes over £500,000. In recent years grants have been between £250k and £1M and they have been in support of projects and capital appeals that are of county-wide significance.
It is important to note that in the current financial year (2026-2027) the trustees are concentrating on their new funding programmes and are very unlikely to make any proactive grants.
