Our funding

The Trust aims to make a lasting difference to the people of Kent by making grants that will reduce the impact of poverty and social exclusion.  In 2018 we announced five new funding programmes, each designed to invest in local communities and voluntary sector organisations working to improve the lives of those living at the margins of society.

Organisations that are interested in applying for funding should follow the links on this website to find out about our current, open grant programmes.  It is important to read the grant guidance material carefully before making an application and we also recommend that applicants download the application form questions and prepare their application in advance.

The Trust is a Living Wage Funder and it encourages grant applicants to cost all salaries included in their applications at the living wage rate.  The current living wage rate can be found here

The Trust operates with a small part-time staff team and therefore it is not easy to reach us on the telephone. However, if you leave a message someone will call you back. You can also communicate with us by email.

Please remember that the Trust receives many more grant applications than it has funds to support.   For this reason many excellent projects do not receive funding.  The Trustees and staff are not able to enter into dialogue about why a project was unsuccessful.
