November 2016 - Rochester Cathedral
Chairman of Trustees, Nicholas Fisher was pleased to open the Colyer-Fergusson Room at Rochester Cathedral on 1 November 2016. The Trust made a significant grant to the cathedral for important work to the crypt and adjoining rooms which were previously under-utilised. The grant enabled the Cathedral to strip out the space and reorder it flexibly, creating a choir rehearsal area large enough to accommodate groups of singers and musicians. It also enabled the Cathedral to provide access to the crypt for disabled people – an important, but difficult and expensive matter in such an old building.
