Recent Grants

During the last financial year the Trust received 114 eligible applications and awarded 58 grants totalling £558,260. Grants were made within the following priority areas:

  1. Projects that are innovative or developmental and aim to tackle social isolation, exclusion or poverty as they affect the community
  2. Projects that involve the utilisation of church buildings or other church resources by the wider community and can demonstrate a practical need
  3. Projects that involve the preservation of the natural environment or heritage and promote community access to these resources
  4. Projects that will use the arts to provide the community with a new creative experience or increase access to the arts in locations where access is limited.

Colyer-Fergusson Major Church Awards
In 2007 the Trustees awarded a total of £2,161,000 to nine parish churches and the Priory of St Mildred (Minster Abbey) under its' major Church Awards Programme in Kent. The grants ranged from £150, 000 to £400,000 and the full list and details can be seen under 'Recent Grants' above. This programme is now closed.
